a new generation of piano teacher
Piano teachers today can do more than ever before. With interactive software and digital keyboards as teaching tools, you can use your students' natural love of computers to guide them quickly and easily through the basics of piano playing. You also reach families that would never otherwise consider sending their children to study music. With the PianoKids teaching method, children learn fast, love practicing and can't wait for their next lesson. With PianoKids, you can give your students more than technical proficiency. Six-year-olds improvise, compose, and play in ensemble. Seven-year-olds sight-read music and even teach other children. The creativity, confidence and love of music fostered in your studio will benefit your students for the rest of their lives. Piano lessons become more.
the benefits
not just computers
There is much more to the PianoKids training than technology. There are sessions on group dynamics, on our multi-sensory approach to piano teaching, and on evaluation methods that let you determine the dominant learning modality of each child. Reach every student. Help even a seemingly "unmusical" child read music, understand musical concepts, and attain his or her optimal learning potential. In our PianoKids lessons the objective is to train children to play real acoustic pianos. We use technology as a means to an end, not as an end in itself. We therefore have students perform on the piano in every lesson. All our concerts are performed on real pianos.
who should attend
But the training is perfect for any practicing piano teacher who wants to expand their teaching skills. Whether you are a young teacher setting out to establish your private practice, or a veteran who wants to learn new skills and technologies, the training will be useful for you. Because the PianoKids methodology encompasses many disciplines and many approaches it can easily be incorporated into an existing teaching practice. Following are some suggestions as to who would benefit most from the seminar:
